Where to begin? Spike Milligan seems to have been a constant influence throughout my life. As a fellow sufferer of depression I have found his fortitude an inspiration and his humour a lifeline. The world feels emptier without him.

The more I read about Spike, the more I think he was a unique individual and worth all the 'trouble' he caused other people.

This has taken me rather by surprise! I have just watched the DVD, and remembered receiving a letter from Spike when I worked at Finchley Borough Council many years ago. I will update this message later.

I have an autographed book by spike, and I return the favour,(sort of), thanks for a sane view of life----

I was very fortunate in meeting Sir Spike when he did a show in Sydney in 1980. After listening to the Goon Show, I decide to start buying his books as well.
I stumbled upon his little poem on a path by the Thames and continue to appreciate the talent he shared with us all.
Greatly missed.
